WD22TB4 dock not displaying 144 Hz through DP 1.4 : r/DellXPS
WEBOct 1, 2022 · I posted this in r/dell as well. Hope that's okay. I have just purchased a WD22TB4 dock and am having an issue with refresh rate. If I connect the dock to my XPS15 and then from the dock to my monitor with a DP 1.4 cable, the best I get is 4K @ 60 Hz. I have a USB-C to DP 1.4 cable and when I connect that to the dock I get 4K @ 144 Hz.

With better DSC implementation even 3x 4K should now be possible with Intel 11th gen Tiger Lake / 12th gen Alder Lake laptops.

WEBMay 3, 2022 · As far as I saw online WD22TB has two thunderbolt outputs, so maybe even 3 extended displays would be possible. The 13" MBP only supports one external monitor. You'd need to get a Display Link dock to support more than one monitor. 229K subscribers in the macbookpro community.

WEBJan 23, 2023 · Update on Dell Monitor Blanking Issue: I purchased the Dell D6000 dock and that seems (fingers crossed) to have solved the issue. At the suggestion u/codefuel1337, I purchased the Dell D6000 dock (about $150 on Amazon in December 2023). This seems to have resolved the issue. I installed the D6000 on December 23rd.

WEBJan 10, 2023 · A large majority of docks we have been getting seem to have an issue at one point or another, whether it be right out of the box or a few weeks/months down the line. WEBJul 4, 2023 · Dell docks have been an issue for the better part of the last 5-6 years. The best thing you can do is attach the dock to a laptop and fully update the laptops firmware to make sure the dock gets the full gambit of its firmware updates. Then, make that part of your OOBE process for bringing up new mobile workstations.
