"I bought a garage door opener and had Lowes schedule the installation. What a mistake, use your own contractor. \nThey just called Angi and scheduled a random contractor amd charged a premium for it. My contractor was at my house before he left to get some tools and was gone for nearly 3 hours without contacting me. When he returned he told me.he overbooked himself and had to do another job first. It took 5 hours for the installation amd Lowes told me that they could not refund my installation since the job was finished. \nI was told by Lowes Customer Care that sometimes they will not pay a contractor if they dont do a good job, but they wont refund that amount back to the customer. They just keep it. So, if you are inconvenienced, Lowes will keep your money and not refund it back to you. \nBottom line is to beware of using Lowes installers, they will not back you and will keep any of the money fornthemselves instead of refunding to the customer. Very dishonest."
