the exhaust is very easy to install and the front header pipe and it’s 3 flange nuts are accessible without removing the left side lower fairing. I was able to remove all 3 front header flange nuts from the left side of the bike. The only thing I removed was the front spark plug boot so I could swing the wrench a bit more.
New member here, Just got the V4 and what an amazing bike. I've been not satisfied with the stock exhaust note though i love the quad exhaust set up and how it looks (this is a controversial subject by itself :) I could not find any options to maintain the quad exhaust looks while improving the...
@Noggie - which exhaust did you get on your Panigale ? Happy with the sound ? I am very disappointed that Ducati split the V4 into two different engines. Having the same L-twin as the sport bikes was one of the desirable features of the original Diavel and XD.
The exhaust note now sounds totally different and the bike struggles to get over 4k rpm, runs very rich, the engine temps are lower than average, and it shakes now. The bike just hit 11k miles today and is current on its maintenance. The rapidbike sits near the engine; is it possible that the heat from heavy traffic cooked it?
As Denmark has strict controls on emissions and exhaust loudness, I am looking to get a homologated Euro5 aftermarket exhaust. One that I really like the look of is the Zard exhaust for the Diavel 1260 that can be ordered Euro5 homologated. As the forum on Zard exhausts is a bit old.
As all of us may already know, there is the Termignoni option.. But almost 3k for an exhaust not counting the time it takes to install is a bit steep... Are there any other options? Perhaps some to look out for in the near future, before I bite the bullet on the termi?
I was able to lower the termi exhaust without having to take off. I used a scissor lift and put it under where the 4 screws where the oil filter mesh is located to take the weight off. The ohlins instructions is terrible and lots of things missed. But anyways got it done and feel the stiffer suspension already.
The design doesn't speak to me at all. Not even remotely. And to be forced to spend twice that of the Termi just to make the exhaust at least just blend in? It's not so noticable in the Streetfighter as in the Diavel and Multistrada, but Ducati has clearly had much longer to design around the V2 engine than the V4 and it shows.
Our beloved Xdiavel were released in 2016 and are with us for the 5th riding season. Now it starting to get more available exhaust brand for the bike. I'm trying to give a list of what kind of exhaust I know are available and som project/ prototype. So far it were 9- 10 available exhhaust...
