Hi, me and my kids are planning to visit Brussels next month and would like to book a free walking tour from this company. Question: how much are the ideal tips to give to the guide? I don’t want them to think I’m cheap or something, also I don’t want them to feel insulted because in Japan they don’t accept tips they rather get a gift from the country we coming from. Thank you
We are planning going to Brussels on September 2019, I’ve been looking around for some tips to get the best of our time in Brussels, we are planing on going to different places if possible. I just found out about this free walking tour the question here is " is it really free" or do we have to pay, because they asked for credit card, I understand that if is it free at the end of tour we will have to give a " tip" to our guide. We are having 4 full days in Brussels and we would like to go to Ghent and Bruges for a day and if we have the time we would like to go to Amsterdam just for a day. Please give me some tips. Thanks

The free walking tour in Ghent is definitely worth it. A tip of €10 to €15 per people is suggested by guide and paid in cash at end of the tour. No credit card required. The Legends free walking tour in Bruges is excellent and last 2.5 hours. Tipping is also suggested. Some just turn up at allocated time and don't appear to have booked online. I booked all tours online.
