You leave it on the beach. The only people on the island are the park rangers and the other passengers from the boat. Nothing gets stolen, and the beach is always in sight.
Hello, I would very much love to know how to find a pilot to Dry Tortugas? I'm thinking of taking my 80 year old Dad and maybe do some snorkeling. Know the boat ride there would be too long. We will be camping in April 2022 for 3 nights. We were there back in the 90’s and remembered seeing fishermen coming to camp to trade there fish for liquor. Has anyone who has camped there recently know if this is still happening?! Also how are campers boiling water, since we are limited to self lite charcoal or sterno? Does the ferry provide tubs to store food and gear in?! Thank you Tonya

We came on the ferry in July, and I don't think they provided storage. We didn't see any fishermen or trading of supplies on the beach.
