We once had a 15 pound very obedient Silky Terrier, but we do not have a dog now, but do love dogs. However, I would not recommend taking even a small dog on this kayaking trip. There may be times when one must get out of the kayak, do a small portage, or possibly tip over. This, in my opinion, would not be safe even for small dogs.
