Sure if you can pack them in without it being a weight burden as you may see the whales right beside you but there is other sealife that may not be up close and the binoculars would come in handy to view such creatures. If you can tolerate carrying them then do so. Better to have than not have.

In the fall we recommend booking early in your stay if you are from outside Vancouver as the weather can be a factor. We also guarantee our sightings so if you come out and we can't find you any whales you come again for free. Hope that help answer your question.
