As regards large picnic gatherings, it slightly depends how large! If you are planning on being a group of 10+, please book a group visit with us via our website, so we know you are coming (even if arriving separately) and can explain fully how we host larger groups, to see if this suits what you want for your gathering. Hi 3rri Thanks for your interest in visiting the Botanic Garden. Guide and assistance dogs are very welcome in the Garden, however please note that no other dogs are allowed, even if they are on a lead (and very friendly!). We hope that you come to visit and enjoy the Garden anyhow.

For us 3 until 4 hours is enogh. In that time we can walk slow while enjoying the collection of existing plants take a lot of pictures and just sit back while enjoying the snack.
