I've read that people generally spend about 3-hours at this museum. Is it less crowded if I arrive early 10:00am (and finishing by 13:00hrs) or plan my visit for Saturday night at 19:00hrs (finishing at 22:00hrs)?

Yes I agree. We went mid-afternoon in early January and it was quiet. Two hours should do it even if you read most things. It's a great place. Salutary.
