Flood warning issued in Cumberland County near Cape Fear River: NWS
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning in Cumberland County late Tuesday morning. The flood warning was issued at 10:40 a.m. for the Cape Fear River at the William O’Huske Lock and Dam Three, which affects Cumberland and Bladen counties, according to the NWS.
NWS issues flood warning for Watauga, certain roads already flooding
According to the NWS, flooding along the Watauga River and its tributaries is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable, especially Shulls Mill Road near Foscoe, and Dewitt Barnett Road and Watauga River Road near Sugar Grove.
