The Netherlands moved to the brink of their first Davis Cup final as Botic Van de Zandschulp held his nerve to beat Germany's Daniel Altmaier 6-4 6-7(12) 6-3 on Friday.

The Netherlands will play for the Davis Cup title after completing a 2-0 sweep of Germany in the semifinals Friday in Malaga, Spain. Botic van de Zandschulp and Tallon Griekspoor took down their German opponents in three sets to clinch their country's spot in the finals without needing a doubles match.
