The Dodgers extend Teoscar Hernández a qualifying offer while declining to give one to right-hander Walker Buehler, who officially becomes a free agent.

Friday afternoon the Dodgers held a championship parade through downtown Los Angeles for the first time since 1988. The Dodgers won the World Series in 2020, of course, though there was no parade due to pandemic restrictions.

Hernández hopes he and the Dodgers can agree to a contract as soon as possible. "Hopefully tomorrow," he said. "I want us to be here."
