The account of the 3-year-old Sesame Street character turned hateful and certainly not suitable for kids. Here's what the hacked account said.

Griffin-Accurso has been targeted by Jewish advocacy groups over her rhetoric in support of Gazan children. In April, the advocacy group StopAntisemitism labeled Griffin-Accurso its “Antisemite of the Week,” apparently for having the temerity to repeatedly suggest that children shouldn’t starve to death or have their limbs blown off.

The owner of “Sesame Street” said it was working to restore control of Elmo’s social media account after the cyberattack on the fuzzy red monster, a beloved character on the children’s show.

The hack occurred after Elon Musk’s chatbot, Grok, spewed antisemitic messages on X on July 8. The X account of the “Sesame Street” character Elmo posted a slew of antisemitic and anti-Donald Trump comments Sunday afternoon after getting hacked.

While Sesame Street premiered back in 1969, Elmo was first introduced to viewers back in 1980 as a supporting character. In 1985, he became a permanent resident of Sesame Street, and is arguably the most popular character on the show. New episodes of Sesame Street can now be seen on both PBS and Netflix.

Sesame Workshop worked to regain full control over its Elmo account on the X platform Monday after a hacker gained access and posted a string of racist and antisemitic messages.

“Elmo’s X account was briefly compromised yesterday by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages ... a string of hate speech incidents since the billionaire bought then-Twitter in 2022 and axed moderation policies that he considers censorship.

Horrific posts on the "Sesame Street" character's X account only remained online for a short period, but still went viral.
