Baekhyun’s agency, INB100, issued a formal apology on their X account (formerly Twitter) to address the video of the K-pop star vaping inside a restaurant in Macau.

The 32-year-old South Korean singer was filmed smoking indoors in a restaurant in Macau where all forms of smoking are prohibited in indoor public places – with the exception of designated smoking rooms.

The controversy began when photos and video clips of Baekhyun using an e-cigarette inside a public establishment surfaced online. This led to widespread debate and criticism, as many questioned the idol's awareness and adherence to local regulations.
