The local brewery announced Monday, March 3, it will permanently close two taprooms amid a “challenging time for the craft beer industry.”

DOUGLAS, Mich. — Saugatuck Brewing Company (SBC) announced Monday it is closing its taprooms in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. The company says the Creston location in Grand Rapids is closed effective immediately. The Kalamazoo location, which burned in a fire in August 2024, will not reopen.

Saugatuck Brewing saved Creston Brewery from closure back in 2020 by buying the taproom. Now, they've announced it's closing for good.
