California lawmakers voted to increase tax credits for film and TV production, in a bid to bring back work that has been leaving for other U.S. cities and overseas.

State lawmakers have voted to raise the cap on film and TV production incentives to $750 million, up from $330 million under the current version of the program.

The California production community will be keeping a close eye on the state Capitol on Friday as lawmakers are set to seal the deal on the expansion to the Film & TV Tax Credit Program, offering some crucial amendments to the current initiative and boosting its funding to $750 million annually.
