A 2023 fourth-round draft pick, Haener made just one regular-season start over his first two pro campaigns. In total, he has completed 18-of-39 passes (46.2 percent) for 226 yards with one touchdown and one interception as a pro.

Haener's lone start in Week 15 against the Washington Commanders was a disaster, to the point he got benched at halftime in favor of Rattler. The 26-year-old went 4-of-10 with 49 yards, no touchdowns and one interception prior to being replaced.
