The Oakland County mom who is accused of abandoning her three children for years is expected to return to court on Thursday.

Kelli Bryant is currently jailed on a $50,000 cash bond, a significant reduction from the initial $250 million bond set in the child abuse case.

Kelli Bryant was released from the Oakland County Jail at about 5 p.m. after posting a $50,000 bond, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and court records.

Prosecutor says while three children lived alone in squalor in Pontiac, their mom, Kelli Bryant, was pocketing their government benefits.

Bryant remained in custody on a $50,000 cash bond as of May 16. Her son and two daughters were found living in abhorrent conditions in a town house on Lydia Lane in February.

Kelli Bryant’s attorney, Cecilia Quirindongo-Baunsoe, asked the court for a more ‘reasonable bail.’ Bail was initially set at $250 million cash.

A 34-year-old mother, identified by McDonald as Kelli Bryant, was arrested earlier this month after allegedly abandoning three of her four children in a rental home in Pontiac for years.
