The Los Angeles Angels won a thriller against the San Diego Padres, a massive update on an injured pitcher's head injury is reported, and the latest on Mike Trout's recovery.

Trout officially hit the injured list on May 2, and just three days later, Jim Bowden of The Athletic proposed a hypothetical trade for LA that includes a different outfielder. The deal would send right-handed slugger Jorge Soler to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for pitching prospect Ben Kudrna.

Without the star outfielder, the Angels have still been able to rack up homers due to contributions from Logan O'Hoppe and Taylor Ward. Their 51 home runs as a team are tied for the fifth-most in the majors this season.
