The Connecticut Sun are no strangers to needing a win in Minnesota to advance in the playoffs. The Sun eliminated the Lynx in the first round last season with a victory at Minnesota in the decisive Game 3 of that series.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. — After the Connecticut Sun’s Game 3 semifinal loss to the Minnesota Lynx, Sun coach Stephanie White said her staff didn’t do a good enough job of getting players prepared. She said the Sun were outplayed, out-executed and, most of all, out-coached.

Behind a combined 36 points from Alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonner, the Connecticut Sun forced Game 5 in the WNBA semifinals with a 92-82 win over the Minnesota Lynx.
