Crews will eventually treat the roads after a certain snow buildup, but they don't want to cause a problem early on in the storm, an engineer said.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is urging drivers to stay off the roads if possible as a winter storm moves through the area. MoDOT’s Central District has all available Mid-Missouri snowplow operators working 12-hour shifts until major roads are cleared.
