India's veteran fast bowler Mohammed Shami will don the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) jersey in the next Indian Premier League (IPL) season after he was bagged by the franchise Rs 10 crore once Shami's former employers Gujarat Titans refused to use the Right-to-Match (RTM) card.

Nehra revealed Shami was initially in their retention plans. But since the team had already retained a few key players, they had to rethink. The decision to not use their RTM card for Shami was affected by the management's opinion that ₹10 crore was a steep price for him.
