A Montgomery man died Thursday, two days after he was critically injured in a hit-and-run. Police on Friday identified the fatality victim as Quanterious Thompson. He was 24. Montgomery police Maj. Saba Coleman said authorities were notified Wednesday that Thompson was in the hospital and had sustained life-threatening injuries.

A pedestrian was killed in a car collision early Friday morning, Montgomery police say. The MPD and fire medics responded to the single-vehicle collision at about 5:16 a.m. on I-85 North, where a pedestrian, Johnstone Namale Kuboka, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
