The University of Southern California's football program has been placed on probation for one year and fined $50,000 for multiple violations of NCAA coaching staff rules, the National Collegiate Athletics Association announced Tuesday.

The USC football team has been put on probation and fined $50,000 for violating NCAA rules, the NCAA announced on Tuesday. The program had eight analysts involved with coaching activities during spring and fall of 2022, and spring of 2023. That is more than the program is allowed to use, and that is what violated NCAA rules.

The NCAA has placed the USC football program on probation stemming from a violation of coaching activities. An investigation, which USC cooperated fully with, found that a total of eight analysts for the program engaged in on and off-field coaching activities in the spring and fall of 2022 as well as the spring of 2023.
