Attorneys resign after refusing to drop corruption charges against NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who claims charges were retaliation for critique of Biden's immigration policies

The U.S. Department of Justice formally filed court paperwork to dismiss federal corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, after two days of resignations from prosecutors who refused to do so.

At least seven prosecutors in Manhattan and Washington quit rather than carry out acting Deputy U.S. Attorney General Emil Bove’s directive to halt the case, including the interim U.S. attorney in Manhattan and the acting chief of the public integrity section.
