David Joplin scored 27 points and Kam Jones and Damarius Owens each added 14 to lead No. 10 Marquette to a 94-59 win over Stonehill.

Joplin set his career high of 29 points in MU's last game against Georgia at the Atlantis resort complex in the Bahamas. He stayed hot against the Skyhawks (4-5), shooting 10 for 12, including 4 of 5 from deep. Before the Georgia game, Joplin had started the season just 8 for 39 (20.5%) from long range.

(MARQUETTE COMMUNICATIONS) MILWAUKEE – The No. 10/11 Marquette University men’s basketball team (7-0, 0-0 BIG EAST) opened a two-game homestand with a 94-59 win against Stonehill (4-5, 0-0 NEC) on Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum.

The Golden Eagles had to work through some less than perfect (but maybe illness stunted) defense to beat the Skyhawks by 35 anyway.
