An 18-year-old woman has been sentenced to nine months in jail for killing a Sussex family's dog in January, an 8-year-old Chihuahua named Batman. At a combined plea and sentencing hearing Monday, Waukesha County Judge Bridget Schoenborn sentenced Kielee Sonnemann of Allenton to nine months in jail followed by two years of probation.

Kielee Sonnemann, the woman accused of killing a family's dog while babysitting one of their children, will spend nine months behind bars and two years on probation.

Kielee Sonnemann pleaded guilty in court late Monday afternoon to stabbing and killing Batman, an eight-pound Chihuahua.
