JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The Southwestern Athletic Conference and Jackson State Athletics have both released a statement regarding JSU football allegedly stealing practice film from the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

A UAPB player informed the coaching staff that he was told by a Jackson State player that Tigers defensive players were in their team facility watching practice film of UAPB ahead of their matchup earlier this month,

Per Bonagura, an Arkansas-Pine Bluff player heard from a Jackson State player that the Tigers had been watching Golden Lions practice film in their facility; he then reported the allegation to his coaches.

According to a report by ESPN, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opened an investigation into an allegation that Jackson State University (JSU) football

Jackson State player mentioned Tigers’ defensive personnel were watching UAPB practice footage in their team facility. Alarmed by the claim, UAPB head coach Alonzo Hampton reviewed the team's video-sharing software and discovered that practice film had been accessed by the account of a former walk-on who was cut from the team in the spring.

The allegations against JSU reportedly came to light on Oct. 31, two days before the game. Jackson State defeated Arkansas Pine-Bluff 41-3.
