The Boston Celtics say star Jayson Tatum had surgery to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon that will sideline him for the remainder of the playoffs.

The Celtics superstar suffered a potentially serious injury in the fourth quarter of Boston’s loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of their series on Monday night.

There is not word as of yet exactly what the injury is, but based on the fact that it was non-contact, and Tatum was wheeled to the locker room holding the back of his ankle, there is a belief that it is something to do with his Achilles tendon.
