As Nike announces a new Vomero 18 running model for release in late February 2025, the Oregon-based footwear manufacturer also gives consumers a fresh approach to picking out a pair of running shoes. The new model helps splits Nike running into three main silos, all based around cushioning.

As mentioned, the Vomero now sits in Nike's new, simplified road running lineup for 2025. The Vomero is the maximum cushioning option, and sits alongside the Pegagus, Nike's responsive ride option. The final offering is the Structure, offering supportive cushioning and stability for runners who overpronate.

Nike is setting a new standard in road running comfort with the Vomero 18, a shoe designed to offer unmatched cushioning and style for athletes of all levels. At 46 mm, the Vomero 18 has the tallest stack height in the Vomero franchise’s history, and it is built for longer runs, faster paces, and ultimate comfort.

Enter, the Vomero 18. Nike has introduced the Vomero 18, its latest road running shoe that will be available globally on February 27, 2025.

The Vomero 18 includes a combination of ZoomX, the same stuff featured in Nike’s record-setting racing shoes, and ReactX — a newer composition also featured in the Pegasus 41 that Nike claims provides 13 percent more energy return than previous versions of React.
