There was only one game Saturday, a Finals rematch between the Lynx and New York Liberty. For the third time this season, the Lynx exacted a measure of revenge, and in doing so extended their winning streak to six games and their lead in the race for the No. 1 seed to seven games.

The Lynx are riding a five-game winning streak despite Napheesa Collier -- a top candidate for WNBA MVP -- currently out for at least two weeks with an ankle injury. On Tuesday, they became the first team to clinch a playoff spot and have a big lead in the race for the No. 1 seed.

While there was some hope that Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier would compete in Saturday afternoon’s face-off with the New York Liberty, she was was ruled out due to her lingering ankle injury, via the team’s X account.
