A teenager died on Easter Sunday after the vehicle he was travelling in came off the M6 and hit a tree near Lancaster.

A 14-year-old boy was killed after a van drove off a busy motorway in the UK and crashed into a tree, police have said.

The 14-year-old passenger in the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The van driver, a man in his 30s and father of the boy, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.
