Last season, the New York Yankees lineup included both Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, two of the greatest offensive threats in modern Major League Baseball. Many compared Judge and Soto to Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, Yankee greats who together, became baseball legends.

However, Judge and the Yankees must be extremely careful. Designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) will begin the season on the injured list, and utility infielder DJ LeMahieu (left calf) could join him after leaving Saturday’s game early.

Aaron Judge offered support for the Yankees’ big change, but added, “If that little rule is going to stop you from coming here, then you probably shouldn’t be here.”
