Pittsburgh Public Safety announced Thursday the incident that saw a fan fall from the right field bleachers onto the field of play during Wednesday's game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs at PNC Park "is being treated as accidental in nature."

Pittsburgh Public Safety has provided an update on the man who fell 20 feet over the Clemente Wall at PNC Park on Wednesday night. According to public safety, they are now treating the incident as accidental.

A fan is in critical condition after he fell from a 21-foot wall during the Pirates-Cubs game at PNC Park. The incident occurred Wednesday night after Andrew McCutchen’s hit in the seventh inning bounced through the left side of the Cubs infield and deflected into shallow right.
