Organized every year by the Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council, the festival will continue throughout April, featuring horse racing, car and motorbike racing, flower shows, and kite flying competitions.

A senior police official confirmed that special security arrangements and a traffic plan are in place to ensure the safety of both local and foreign tourists visiting Nuwara Eliya during the festival.

Nuwara Eliya District Secretary Thushari Thennakoon said. She said the theme of this year’s festival is “To Be Associated with Noble Friends.” Arrangements are already underway for the event.
