A woman has been charged with one felony count of murder days after authorities found her 11-year-old son deceased in a Santa Ana motel room with his throat slit following a three-day trip to Disneyland, officials announced.

An 11-year-old child was stabbed to death by his mother at a hotel in Santa Ana on Wednesday, March 19, police said. At around 9 a.m., the boy was stabbed in a room at the La Quinta Inn on Hotel Terrace, said Officer Natalie Garcia, a Santa Ana Police Department spokesperson.
