J Balvin was recognized for his philanthropic work at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Sunday as the recipient of the Spirit of Hope Award.

Latin Music Week coincides with the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards set to air at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 20, on Telemundo. It will simultaneously be available on Universo, Peacock and the Telemundo app, and in Latin America and the Caribbean through Telemundo Internacional

"The awards of the soul, helping a friend, serving others, those are the ones that are most worthwhile," the Colombian superstar said after accepting his trophy from Maluma.

Karol G, Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma were the big winners at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, but, unfortunately, did not attend the Florida ceremony. Karol G won eight prizes, including the trophies for Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year,
