The French Quarter will have enhanced security checkpoints for the upcoming Super Bowl LIX. Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry made the announcement Wednesday (Jan. 29) in Baton Rouge, with New Orleans mayor LaToya Cantrell standing next to him at the headquarters of the Louisiana Department of Homeland Security.

People can expect to see more security in parts of New Orleans for the Super Bowl. Gov. Jeff Landry issued an executive order Wednesday amending the State of Emergency issued on New Year’s Day after the terror attack on Bourbon Street.
