Hundreds gathered on the grounds of the State Capitol in downtown Raleigh on Monday afternoon to protest Republican Jefferson Griffin’s ongoing attempt to throw out 65,000 ballots cast in November’s state Supreme Court election — which, speakers said, could set a dangerous precedent for future elections.

Two recounts show Griffin lost the State Supreme Court seat to Justice Allison Riggs. Now, he says 60,000 ballots should be tossed out.

Over 300 protestors gathered at Pack Square Park on Feb. 17 to voice their anger with Rep. Jefferson Griffin who is fighting to have over 60,000 votes invalidated months after the elections.
