LaLiga club Girona's co-owner Marcelo Claure has bought a 10% stake in American top-flight club New York City FC, the Major League Soccer (MLS) side said on Tuesday.

The entrepreneur and former Inter Miami CF owner has acquired 10% of NYCFC, with the New York Yankees reducing their ownership stake to make way for Marcelo Claure.
