About 30 "Stand Up For Science" rallies happened on Friday worldwide to protest the Trump administration's research funding cuts and science policy changes. Well, scientists clearly showed up and showed out with some very clever protest signs.

Democratic Party lawmakers who waved signs in protest at Donald Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress looked like they were playing bingo, according to an MSNBC host. The handmade signs and paddles were widely mocked online as social media users shared memes after Trump’s speech.

Just over the president's shoulder you may have spotted a small, handwritten sign. It read, "This is NOT Normal," in black ink.

The protest was meant to coincide with others around the country and came as Trump was scheduled to address a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night.

Thousands of protestors came together on Friday, March 7 to take a stand against sweeping cuts to scientific funding and attacks against scientific organizations by the Trump Administration. Rallies organized by the grassroots organization “Stand Up for Science” took place in 32 cities across the US.

More than 100 scientists, researchers and their supporters showed up for the Stand Up for Science rally outside the state Capitol on Friday afternoon. The protesters were there to speak up for the importance of science and against federal funding cuts made by the Trump administration and spearheaded by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
