Payton Pritchard is the Celtics ‘Name to Know’ Player of the Game in Friday’s win over Raptors
Pritchard feasted against the Raptors defense all night, making 10 of his first 15 shots before finishing with 27 points. The stellar performance makes him Friday’s “Name to Know” Player of the Game. The Name to Know Player of the Game is sponsored by John’s Sewer and Drain Cleaning, the Name to Know when your drains don’t flow.
RJ Barrett suffered a tough leg injury late in the fourth quarter of the Raptors' matchup against the Celtics on Friday night.
Payton Pritchard had 27 points and eight assists to lead the Celtics. Jaylen Brown added 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Barrett had 19 points and seven assists before his departure. Immanuel Quickley also finished with 17 points and 13 assists.
They fought like hell in passing lanes and on ball to force 12 first half turnovers out of the Hornets. They ganged up near the rim and held the Hornets to a 5/13 performance from there. They grabbed more offensive rebounds. They won all of the battle stats. They were just losing the 3-point duel by 24 points.
The problems keep mounting for the Toronto Raptors. But it’s even more heartbreaking for RJ Barrett. After barely coming back from an extended hiatus, Barrett had to limp away from tonight’s game.
