Singer Alan Osmond has died after a decades-long battle with multiple sclerosis. His wife Suzanne and their eight sons were by his side.

Alan Osmond, the eldest member of the chart-topping family act The Osmonds, died Monday after decades with multiple sclerosis.

“Two days before my brother, Alan, passed, I was blessed to sit quietly with him. We talked as brothers do, heart to heart,” Merrill wrote on Facebook on April 21.
