For all their impressive capabilities, large language models (LLMs) often fall short when given challenging new tasks that require complex reasoning skills.

Examples of soft skills include the ability to communicate with prospective clients, mentor co-workers, lead a team, negotiate a contract, follow instructions, and complete tasks on time.

Hard skills can be learned via education, training, or apprenticeships, and on the job. The levels of competency can be defined, and there is a direct path to achieving them.

The project would be run by Southeast Community College and would be able to accommodate a wider range of programs than the Regional Learning Center does.
