Messaging service WhatsApp has gone down, according to thousands of reports flagged to outage monitor Downdetector.

WhatsApp is currently down for at least 62,000 users on Friday afternoon, with the majority of issues reportedly in London. Website Downdetector, which monitors where there are issues with websites and apps, showed large spikes for WhatApp, with people saying they had been affected by the outage.
