Driving to the basket against Alyssa Thomas, she grimaced in pain after a runner, then hobbled off the court without putting weight on her right leg. After being evaluated behind the bench, she was carried to the locker room and ruled out for the rest of the game.
Brittney Griner and the Atlanta Dream are experiencing their best stretch of the 2025 WNBA season, having won their last six games to improve to 21-11. Griner, 34, is still playing at a high level during her first season away from the Phoenix Mercury, averaging 10.3 points on 50.9% shooting and 5.5 rebounds per game.
The WNBA continues to reach new heights as Vancouver hosted the first-ever regular-season game outside the US.
