Google is bringing native third-party autofill support to Chrome for Android, allowing you to use your favorite password manager to autofill forms.

Google is finally fixing a longstanding problem with the way third-party password managers work within the Android version of Chrome. In an update coming next month, Google will enable native autofill for third-party password manager apps like Dashlane and 1Password in the Chrome app on Android.

You'll also need to enable a third-party autofill service to work in Chrome by venturing into Android's System Settings, selecting "Passwords, passkeys & accounts," and hitting the Change button under your desired service in the list. After confirming the change, the selected service will be granted permission to autofill across all Android apps.

Good news for anyone who prefers to use a third-party password manager. Chrome will start to autofill your passwords as if you were using Google Password Manager. This means you will finally be able to enjoy a simple autofill experience on any Android device , no hoop-jumping required.
