In a Truth social post, Trump stated, "It is terrible what they are doing in Israel to Bibi Netanyahu. He is a War Hero and a Prime Minister who did a fabulous job working with the United States to bring Great Success in getting rid of the dangerous Nuclear threat in Iran.

Netanyahu has been facing trial since 2020 on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in three separate cases. He has denied all allegations. While Israeli President Isaac Herzog holds the constitutional authority to issue a pardon, he has stated that the option is not currently being considered and that no formal request has been submitted.
