Travis Kelce was never a factor in the Kansas City Chiefs' 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX earlier this month. The future Hall of Fame tight end didn't have a catch in the first half before finishing with just four receptions for 39 yards and no touchdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was ill during Super Bowl 59, according to team general manager Brett Veach.

In the days before Super Bowl LIX, the Chiefs didn’t have an extensive injury report, but punter Matt Araiza was dealing with an illness. Turns out tight end Travis Kelce also was under the weather at some point before the game at the Superdome in New Orleans, although the team had never disclosed that.
