The University of North Carolina introduced Bill Belichick as its new coach last week, and on Monday, former Holy Cross star center Christo Kelly became Belichick’s first UNC commitment via the transfer portal.

Belichick said Monday that UNC has players "coming in pretty much every day this week" as he assembles his roster for 2025.

Over the weekend, Belichick got his first-ever recruiting commitment from four-star quarterback prospect Bryce Baker. Now, Belichick added his first player in the portal, and fans had a similar thought after finding out more details about Kelly. "Belichick getting a lineman is so on brand lol," one fan said .
